Jason Kendall, 33, is discussing a contract with the Milwaukee Brewers, hoping to get a deal done in the near future. According to Tom Haudricourt, a Jason Kendall signing spells the end of Johnny Estrada in Milwaukee. Kendall had a whopping .261 on-base percentage with a .542 OPS with the A’s before his trade later in the season to the Chicago Cubs, where he managed a satisfactory .362 OBP. Maybe the Brewers are thinking he feels more comfortable in the National League? I remain skeptical on him.
The Brewers would be Kendall’s fourth team, as he has previously played for the Pirates, Cubs, and A’s.
