Quick Hits: Lugo, Cirillo

A couple of quick news items from the world of baseball today:
- The Mets claimed right-handed relief pitcher Ruddy Lugo off of waivers from the Athletics. Lugo is expected to compete for a spot in the Met bullpen during Spring Training. He is actually the younger brother of Red Sox SS Julio Lugo. Lugo, 27, has a career 5.5 K/9 ratio, and a penchant for walking batters.
- Free agent INF Jeff Cirillo is leaning towards retirement. He wanted to come back to play another season for the Brewers, but it appears there is no spot for him on the squad.

Definitely sounds like another Minaya pickup, good fit.
