And no, I’m not talking about Valentine’s Day. I am of course talking about the 1st day of pitchers & catchers reporting to camp! However, it is almost poetic that the two events fall on the same day though. I’m pretty sure most of us can say that our true love is really the game of baseball, and more specifically, the actual season and the amazing fantasy drafts that come with it. That is of course provided that our wives or girlfriends are not within earshot, cause that would be bad, for many reasons…
Anyway, enough about that, let’s talk about the unofficial start to the 2008 baseball season that begins today. 10 major-league teams will mercifully open camp this Thursday, and help to put the Clemens saga and other effects of the Mitchell Report on the back-burner for now. Let’s get back to talking about “real” baseball. I’m estatic right now, and I hope you all share the same sentiment.

Well said Old Navy King, today is a good day. In roughly 6 weeks or so, they’ll be hitting the field for real. This off-season went by quickly, despite the numerous rumors that seemed to last forever. Let’s play ball here.
