Colon to Debut for Red Sox
Posted on March 6th, 2008 by Mr. Fleece
According to the Boston Herald, Bartolo Colon is scheduled to make his spring debut for the Red Sox on Saturday March 15th. Colon, who had signed a minor-league deal with Boston, threw 41 “effortless” pitches in his second bullpen session yesterday. Colon says his arm feels very strong.
He will most likely begin the season at Triple-A Pawtucket. If all goes well, he’ll be “on call” and ready should he be needed at the major league level.
