According to Angels.mlb.com, Vladimir Guerrero was removed from Thursday’s game against the Giants due to some knee stiffness experienced after trying to leg-out a double play grounder. Manager Mike Scioscia did not seem at all concerned: “We’ll give him a day, and he’ll be fine”, Scioscia said.
Gary Matthews Jr. was also removed from Thursday’s game. His injury was listed as a “bruised left gluteus”. He has been hot in camp, hitting .442 with 19 hits.
Neither injury is thought to be serious.
