According to rotoworld.com, the Philadelphia Phillies will place closer Brad Lidge on the DL to begin the 2008 season (knee surgery). Lidge should be eligible to come off at the end of the first week (April 5th). Tom Gordon will act as the team’s closer for the first few games of the season.
