Early Injuries: VMart; Zambrano
Rotoworld.com has some updates on early injuries suffered to key players today. From the Chicago Cubs, starting pitcher and ace Carlos Zambrano had to leave today’s outing early as he experienced some forearm discomfort. The Cubs are calling it “forarm cramps”, and he is listed as day-to-day. This is great news for the Cubs, as the injury initially looked to be a bit more serious.
For the Cleveland Indians, catcher Victor Martinez is also day-to-day after experiencing tightness in his left hamstring. The injury looked rather painful, as Martinez limped a few times before falling to the ground at second base. The Indians will wait a day or two to see how he feels, but this could be an injury that lands him on the DL. Kelly Shoppach would fill in at catcher should Martinez miss any extended period of time.

isn’t it amazing that you have Zambrano and Sheets in the same game and it’s Zambrano that’s hurt?
And yes, I have them both on both of my roto squads…
And yes, The Biscuit called me out when I took Mauer and Kazmir because of injury concerns. Oh the roto karma.
