Posted on April 8th, 2008 by Old Navy King
As per Jenifer Langosch at MLB.com, utility-man Craig Wilson is making his return to Pittsburgh, after signing a minor-league contract with the Pirates organization earlier today. Wilson, who played for 6 seasons with Pittsburgh before being traded to the Yankees 2 years ago, will report to AAA-Indianapolis.
Wilson, who had shown interest in returning to the Bucs this past offseason, ending up signing a minor-league deal with the Reds after the Pirates didn’t offer a deal. However, after reportedly not passing a physical, the Reds quickly released Wilson.
The 31-year old Wilson is a career .262 hitter.
