The San Francisco Giants have no interest in Oakland A’s 1st baseman Dan Johnson, according to Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Gate.

Johnson was desinated for assignment by the A’s yesterday, and it was widely believed that the Giants would be interested in his services given their public desire for a left-handed 1st baseman.   Apparently not, however, and that strikes me as odd.  Why not take a shot on Johnson if your offense is as putrid as San Fran’s?
