Rollins Has Break in His Ankle? Not so fast…
UPDATE: (4/24) 11:35am (EST) - According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Rollins is actually scheduled to take batting practice today while in Florida. This would pretty much refute the multiple internet reports that surfaced last night stating that Rollins had a break in his ankle, as opposed to a sprain. He is not eligible to come off the 15-day DL for another 10 days.
Apr 23rd - There is an internet article surfacing that states Jimmy Rollins’ injury is far more serious than initially expected. The
ankle, which was thought to be sprained, apparently has a break in it. The Phillies plan on discussing the matter further, according to league sorces, to see how long Rollins will be out.
Wow, what a blow. I would expect a break in his ankle to keep him out of action for at least another 4-6 weeks. Eric Bruntlett has filled in at shortstop for the Phillies during Rollins’ absence from the lineup. He may have to do so for quite a bit longer, if this is true.

We’ll see how true this is. If true though, Utley is gonna need to continue hitting 5 HR’s a week!
Wow, that vaunted Phillies offense is taking it on the chin.
First, they lose Aaron Rowand.
Second, Ryan Howard is in a funk and now this.
Somebody better burn some bats on the dugout steps to appease the baseball Gods before this gets out of hand.
All these injuries around baseball is putting a damper on some of these races early.
