Tulowitzki Out Until After All-Star Break?

According to Tracy Ringolsby at the Rocky Mountain News, Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has a torn tendon in his left quadricep, which could potentially keep him out until at least the All-Star Break (July 14-16).

Tulo suffered the injury in the 1st inning of Tuesday’s game against the San Francisco Giants. The worst part of it is, he was scheduled to sit out that game, but as noted by Ringlosby, was a late addition to the lineup after Jeff Baker popped a blood vessel in his middle finger during BP. In a way, Baker fleeced his poor teammate. Tulo’s agent, Paul Cohen said that “with the help of God, he [Tulo] will be back in two months.”

Clint Barmes will fill-in as the Rockies regular starter at shortstop until Tulowitzki is able to return to the lineup.

you should just draft everyone on the team you hate then!

  5. That is really a bad break for Colorado. Was watching the game when he got hurt and it didn’t look like he was hurting all that bad since he walked off the field.

  6. Even strained quads seem to take longer then they “should” normally. Can’t imagine a torn one…
