UPDATE: (5/1) 7:00pm (EST) - Hughes’ injury is more significant than initially thought. Hughes is expected to be out until July with a fracture if his 9th rib. He won’t resume any baseball activities for four weeks. Darrell Rasner will be called up to take Hughes’ spot in the rotation.

UPDATE: (4/30) 9:20am (EST) - After another visit with Dr. James Andrews, it was determined that Posada will likely return to action this season. Another MRI revealed no new injury to Posada’s shoulder, so the 36-year old catcher simply has to rest the injury and hope for the best.
